Welcome to the official website of the Hong Kong Society of Authorized Persons (HKSAP). Established in late 2026, the Society is dedicated to serving Authorized Persons (APs) and elevating the professional standing of the discipline. The role of the AP has a long history in Hong Kong, tracing back to the introduction of the “Authorized Architect” in the early 20th century. Today, whether for new developments, alterations, or safety improvements, almost every building project in Hong Kong relies on the involvement of an AP.

Despite playing a pivotal, leadership role in executing building works, the function of the AP is not always fully understood across the broader community and peer professions. As the first organisation dedicated specifically to APs, HKSAP aims to bridge this gap. We hope this website offers valuable insights into our work and vital contribution to the built environment.
