The Hong Kong Society of Authorized Persons was established in Hong Kong in 2026. It is the first and only society dedicated to Authorized Persons — the architects, civil and structural engineers, and surveyors appointed under the Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123) to co-ordinate building works, supervise them, and certify to the Buildings Department that the building is completed and structurally safe.
香港建築認可人士公會於2026年在香港成立，是首個、也是唯一一個專門服務認可人士的團體 — 這些根據《建築物條例》（第123章）獲委任的建築師、土木及結構工程師與測量師，負責統籌建築工程、監督施工，並向屋宇署證明樓宇已竣工且結構安全。
香港建筑认可人士公会于2026年在香港成立，是首个、也是唯一一个专门服务认可人士的团体 — 这些根据《建筑物条例》（第123章）获委任的建筑师、土木及结构工程师与测量师，负责统筹建筑工程、监督施工，并向屋宇署证明楼宇已竣工且结构安全。
The Society brings those professionals together, maintains the standard of practice behind the certificates they give, and speaks for the profession as a body.

Hong Kong has regulated its buildings since the territory was ceded to Britain in 1841. The enactments below are the ones that shaped the Authorized Person.

Mr. Cheng is the President and Founder of the Society. After graduating from the University of Hong Kong in the early 2000s, he became one of the youngest individuals to qualify as both a Registered Architect and an Authorized Person (AP) in the same year before turning 30.
鄭先生為本會會長兼創辦人。於2000年代初畢業於香港大學後，他於年屆30歲前的同一年內，同時取得註冊建築師及認可人士資格，是當時最年輕的雙重資格專業人士之一。

Over his 20-year career, Mr. Cheng has worked across architectural firms, public organisations, and property developers. Throughout his practice, he recognised the crucial role of an AP and the significant responsibilities involved in managing ongoing projects. The idea of establishing this Society had been on his mind for years, and he feels fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team of peers to bring it to life.
在逾20年的專業生涯中，鄭先生先後服務於建築師事務所、公共機構及物業發展商。在其專業實踐中，他體會到認可人士角色的關鍵，以及持續管理工程項目所涉及的重大責任。創立本會的想法多年來一直縈繞於心，他感到幸運，能與一群專注投入的專業同儕並肩，將構想付諸實現。
在逾20年的专业生涯中，郑先生先后服务于建筑师事务所、公共机构及物业发展商。在其专业实践中，他体会到认可人士角色的关键，以及持续管理工程项目所涉及的重大责任。创立本会的想法多年来一直萦绕于心，他感到幸运，能与一群专注投入的专业同侪并肩，将构想付诸实现。
In addition to leading the Society, Mr. Cheng is a Fellow of the HKIA, a Registered Inspector and Registered Construction Manager. He serves in key advisory roles for government bodies, previously served on the HKIA Council, and has chaired other professional organisations in Hong Kong.
除領導本會外，鄭先生為香港建築師學會資深會員、註冊檢驗人員及註冊營造師。他現於多個政府公職架構擔任重要顧問角色，曾任香港建築師學會理事會成員，並曾在香港其他專業組織擔任主席。
